Introduction

Sending a fax from your Microsoft Outlook inbox is simple with FaxSIPit’s Outlook Integration. This guide walks you through the setup, connection, and fax sending process — no extra software required.

Step 1: Enable FaxSIPit Integration in Outlook

To begin using FaxSIPit inside Outlook:

  1. Open Outlook Desktop or Outlook Web App.

  2. Go to the Home tab.

  3. Click Get Add-ins from the toolbar.

  4. Search for FaxSIPit for Outlook.

  5. Click Add to install the plugin.

  6. You should now see a small FaxSIPit icon in your toolbar.



Step 2: Connect Your FaxSIPit Account

Once installed, you’ll need to link your FaxSIPit account.

Here’s how:

  • Click the FaxSIPit icon in your Outlook toolbar.

  • Enter your FaxSIPit Username and API Key.

  • Click Connect.

You’ll see a confirmation message once connected.


Step 3: Send a Test Fax

  1. Open a new email.

  2. In the To: field, type the recipient fax number followed by @faxsipit.com.

  3. Attach your document (PDF, DOCX, JPG, PNG).

  4. Add a subject line and body if needed.

  5. Click Send.

Here’s how:

  • Click the FaxSIPit icon in your Outlook toolbar.

  • Enter your FaxSIPit Username and API Key.

  • Click Connect.

Tip: FaxSIPit automatically converts your email and attachments into a fax-ready format.


Step 4: Track Your Fax Delivery

You can track fax delivery in two ways:

  • Within Outlook: You’ll receive a confirmation email once the fax is delivered.

  • FaxSIPit Dashboard: Visit your account dashboard → Activity Logs → Fax Sent.


Status

Description

Delivered

Fax was successfully received by recipient.

Pending

Fax is being processed or retried.

Failed

Delivery failed. Check your fax number or attachment type.

Security Note

FaxSIPit’s Outlook integration follows HIPAA-compliant encryption protocols, ensuring your data is secure in transit and at rest.

All faxes are transmitted over TLS 1.3 with AES-256 encryption.
