Before You Begin

You'll need:

  • A FaxSIPit account associated with the same email address you use for Microsoft Teams

  • Permission to install apps in Teams

Installing the App

  1. Open Microsoft Teams and go to the Apps area in the bottom left corner.

  2. Search for FaxSIPit.

  3. Select the FaxSIPit Fax app and click Add.

If you don't have a FaxSIPit account yet, you'll be prompted to request one. If you do, you'll land directly on your dashboard.

Dashboard Overview

Use the top navigation bar to move between four sections:

  • Received Faxes — view and download incoming faxes

  • Send Fax — send outbound faxes

  • Sent Reports — track fax delivery status

  • Account — your registered details and associated fax numbers

  • Help — step-by-step guides and FAQ

Sending a Fax

  1. Open the Send Fax section.

  2. If your account has multiple fax numbers, select the one to send from using the From Fax Account dropdown. If you only have one, it's selected automatically.

  3. Enter the recipient's fax number including country code (1 for North America) and click Add to Recipients. You can add up to three recipients.

  4. In the Attachments area, click Choose File to upload documents. Up to three files are supported with a combined size limit of 30 MB. Supported formats include PDF, Word, and common image types.

  5. Optionally complete the Cover Page fields: your name, recipient name, company, subject, and message. If left blank, no cover page will be sent.

  6. Click Send Fax.

A summary screen will confirm your attachments, cover page details, sender, and recipient numbers. From there you can compose another fax or go to Sent Reports to check delivery status.

Sent Reports

Sent faxes display one of the following statuses:

  • Processing — transmission in progress

  • Sent — delivered successfully

  • Failed — recipient number could not be reached

You can preview or download any previously sent fax from this section.

Receiving Faxes

Incoming faxes appear in the Received Faxes section. Each fax is marked as new, read, or downloaded. Click any fax to preview or download it.
